Inviting the Public to participate in the creation of works brings with it a strong cumulative energy. The following projects began in 2010 and many continue today.

The Package Project 2010 - present
In the Package Project, chores such as folding laundry, working pastry, and wrapping packages, are universal and strike a chord with generations of
women. This is a public participatory project. Each package is folded and assembled, one-on-one with the artist and participant, in a performance setting. Participants are asked to recall repetitive chores and thoughts of home. They then write a private, unsigned note on a small piece of paper that they tuck inside the package. Each finished package joins the hundreds of others.
The Trobairitz
The Trobairitz
This performance invites the public to explore the world of the Trobairitz, the female troubadour poets of 12th and 13th-century southern France. The artist embodies a Trobairitz, accompanied by an audio recording of verses set to music. Dressed in waxed paper strips inscribed with Trobairitz verses, the artist distributes these ribbons to the audience, honoring these forgotten medieval women and recognizing their contributions as poets.

An RPM Project
Multimedia, interactive installation
Inspired by an article written by Anne-Marie Slaughter, “Why Women Still Can’t Have it All”, RPM Project brings to the table the ongoing conversation between women and what they contend with when they juggle their personal and professional lives.
Presented in a domestic setting, a dining table is set with decadent cakes, dishes, teacups, and six dressed chairs with video monitors as talking heads. Each chair represents a woman and her choices, justifications, and dilemmas concerning family and professional life. One chair is left empty for the viewer to sit and participate in this interactive aural collage. An iPad replaces a plate setting so that the guest can leave their own opinion in a virtual community.

An RPM Project
The act of doing laundry represents the mundane chores and their years of repetition. These rituals transform into a mediation of thoughts that evolve through the timeline of our entire lives. This interactive performance by RPM Project is an offshoot of the multimedia installation, 2407, The House Inside My Head, and invites the public to write their thoughts of home on laundered sheets. This project is intended to reveal a layer of consciousness to a universal act that is often overlooked.
